Detroit Orientation: Layout and Directions
Detroit's Cultural Center Historic District contains many of the city's top cultural attractions, including both the Detroit Historical Museum and the Detroit Institute of Arts. To the south of this part of Detroit you will find both the theater district and downtown Detroit, while on the northern side of the city lies the appealing New Center district.
On the southeasterly side of the Cultural Center Historic District stands Detroit's fashionable areas of Bricktown and Greektown, both of which feature numerous restaurants and bars. Standing alongside the Detroit River, the city's Rivertown / Civic Center offer some of the best entertainment venues in Detroit, together with a number of popular nightspots.
